the reindeer aren’t the only thing

This year is flying by. Again. And it’s no help that Helena’s in school. I can only assume that this means the next few years will continue to come faster and faster until I’m suddenly 85 years old and have no idea what happened to the last several decades. I might be exaggerating, but it really does seem fast.

I’ve said it before, I know, this time of year makes everything fly. It’s almost Halloween and then it’s December 1 and you aren’t even sure you got any turkey. You try to give meaningful gifts while not spending a fortune (soup kitchen, anyone?!), but even though you begin thinking about Christmas shopping in August, it’s December 20th again and you’re at Target, looking for deals.

Remember what those old ladies say. I say unto you: heed their warnings. This is the best time of your life and it goes by so fast, You’re healthy, and young, and capable. And even if you’re not as young as you once were, you’re younger now than you’ll ever be again. So take a deep breath and enjoy this time before it allpassesbyinaflash.

Your kids will never be this age again.

Neither will you, come to think of it.

Enjoy. Relax. Breathe. You’ll miss this time immensely one day. I’m sure of it. At least, that’s what the old ladies tell me.

You are so right! I feel like the time just flies by, especially when the kids are in school. We need to slow down and enjoy it. Although I have been feeling old lately, I won’t ever be this young again right:)

I told someone that it seems like Elise’s time is on a jet, and I am on a bus. I can’t believe how fast times moves with kids.
