thankful Friday

by humanmama on May 4, 2012

You know it’s Friday, and I tend to write all lovey, happiness on Friday. Which is good for us all! Because then we all go into the weekend with a heart full of happiness. Yes?

So, here’s what I’m thankful for this Friday. What are YOU Thankful for? I’d love to hear.

I’m thankful for kids getting older. They wash and dress themselves, more-or-less, and they can write. Which means sometimes they write their sisters fantastic messages like “I LOVE Lilly.” Awesome.

I’m thankful for enough to eat. What a fantastic society where most of us never have to be hungry unless we choose to be. May that trend continue to the rest of the world.

I’m thankful for Spring, and soon Summer, where we can be outside most of the time. Because nothing will cure the “I got a newborn and I’m stranded inside” blues like sitting on the porch in the sun. With a margarita. -ahem-

And, I’m thankful for being pregnant. Because for all my complaining, don’t think I don’t consider myself blessed and lucky. We know many, many folks who can’t get pregnant, or tried many different things before getting pregnant, and it’s a great thing. So for all the irritation, yeah, it’s amazing still. And at the end of it all, God willing, another baby in this world. A great man. At least, that’s what I’m planning…

okay, here you go: full pregnancy disclosure photo!

Oh, and, by the way? I’m really, really thankful for you, friends, who take the time to read and be interested. Hopefully, you’re being inspired, too. Happy Friday!

6 weeks left!! Amazing. I think the teacher told us yesterday the kids had like 20 school days left. YAY! Oh, and thanks :)

I’m thankful I have taken the right risks at the right time to end up exactly where I am today. One little change could have messed everything up.

Fantastic. YAY! I’m a big believer in “this was the way things were meant to be,” and I’m so happy your life has lead you here, to happiness. Way to go!

You look fabulous! I, too, was grateful for good weather after having each of my boys. It was a relief to at least be able to get outside without getting soaked. It also made me invest in an air conditioner (people typically don’t have them here), and I’ve been grateful for that every summer since!
