2 no longer

by humanmama on April 21, 2012

As of tomorrow, my baby won’t be two anymore. I told this to my 5-year-old:

“Tomorrow, there won’t be any more two-year-old girls living in this house again! Can you believe that?”
“I’m sad about that,” she said.
“You are? Me too. Why?” I replied.
“Because I love two-year-olds. They are the best.”

Perfectly said. Who else can get away with being “still a baby” while also knowing better most of the time?

It’s still amazing to me. That someone who was born looking just like this, with practically no skills:

Could turn 1,

And then 2,

And now 3.

Happy Birthday, my Lillian, learn from my mistakes, prosper, outlive me by decades, and have success in whatever you wish to do. Just like they say,

and many morrre!”
